Pursuant to the COVID-19 restrictions, the State of Texas Saferiders Program, our partner in the car seat program has restricted holding classes or distributing car seats. We are “hopeful” we may be able to resume in August. Check the calendar page on this website, our Facebook and Instagram account for when classes will be scheduled again.
Thousands of children are seriously injured or die needlessly every year because they are not in a safety seat while riding in a car. If you lack the financial resources to access a car safety seat for your child, you may be eligible for assistance in obtaining a car seat. The Parenting Cottage offers car safety seat classes for all Lubbock County residents and a one time assistance program for car seats to qualified parents.

In cooperation with the State of Texas Safe Riders programs, parents can access convertible safety seats and booster seats following the completion of a short class on car seat safety.
