Expecting a Baby? Prenatal Classes -next session begins on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 @ 12:00 PM with a limit of 12 parents attending. For more information see Expecting a Baby under the Programs tab.

Activity Hour- Join us on our Facebook page @ 10:00 AM on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 10:00 AM for “Spring Has Sprung.”

Parenting Toolkit –  evening parent education classes – next session begins on Monday, April 26, 2021 @ 5:30 PM with a limit of 16 parents attending–registration is required prior to attending. For more information see Community Parenting Classes under the Programs tab.

Smart Start – a once a month virtual evening parent group that explores a different topic each month.  Next session is Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 5:30 PM.  Topic: “Nutrition” with Guest Speakers from South Plains Food Bank and Texas A&M Agri-Extension Service.  This is a ZOOM virtual presentation and requires registration.  For more information call the Parenting Cottage at (806) 795-7552 to register.  Meets evidence based mandatory parent education requirements.

Bookworm Buddies –  a community wide Virtual Storytime and Book Distribution program.  Helps you build a home library for your child.  Check the Bookworm Buddies tab under Programs to learn more.  February’s Bookworm Buddies is on Wednesday, March 31 2021 @ 10:00 AM on our Facebook Page.  Book:  “Jack and the Beanstalk”.  April Bookworm Buddies is on Wed., April 28, 2021 at 10:00 AM with Daniel Tiger’s “A Busy Day in the Neighborhood.”

HOME VISITATION (one on one parent and early childhood education) IS ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS. – See Home Visitation and the Parents as Teachers Model under the Programs tab.

Car Seat Assistance Classes continue at this time to be suspended until the agency receives approval from the State of Texas Saferiders program to resume.

Community Storytime events with the City of Lubbock Libraries including Mahon, Godeke, Groves and Patterson Branches will return to in-person Storytime events in April.  Masks are required and attendance is limited.  

Virtual Storytimes continue with Wolfforth Library with in person visits scheduled to resume in April.  Watch our website, Facebook page & Instagram page for updates and virtual Storytimes being offered.
